Self Grooming Session

‘Self Grooming’ session was organized on 21st July 2022 under College Women Development Cell (CWDC) of Government Commerce College Naroda, Ahmedabad. Ms. Nisha Sharma- the make- up artist and Ms. Tamanna Rao- the hair stylist were the guest of honor. In this session Ms. Nisha demonstrated the structured method of applying cosmetic products for day to day life . Ms. Tamanna showed latest hair styles in form of braid, messy bun for stylish appearance in society. It was indeed a fruitful session in which 150 girls participated with great enthusiasm.

Report on Women Health Issue Session

A lecture on ‘Women Health Issue’ was held on 8th February 2023 at Government Commerce College Naroda under the aegis of CWDC. Dr. Harsh Patel of MAA Gynec Hospital, Nava Naroda addressed womens’ health problem that are often neglected or misunderstood. He informed the students regarding the spectrum of women’s health issue that affect millions of women every year but remains neglected because of lack of information and awareness about the same. This lecture educated more than 100 young girls about their own body which in turn promised to a healthy life style practice leading to prolong healthy long life.

Report on Digital Financial Literacy Session

On the occasion of International Women’s Day Government Commerce College Naroda in collaboration with India’s largest BFSI training institute organized ‘Digital Financial Literacy Session for Females- ELSS: Every Lady Should Save’. Ms. Deepti M.G from SEBI was key note speaker for the said session. She explained the types of product available to invest such as gold, equity, NSC, real estate and various others. She also addressed advantages and disadvantages of each of investment product. She also highlighted relationship between profitability and liquidity. She also informed the audience about different types of mutual fund schemes and their objectives. At the end, She advised the students to start saving today for a better tomorrow. It was indeed a fruitful session which enlightened the students regarding the need of saving and then investing wisely. More than 75 students got benefitted from the financial literacy session.
